Staying at Hotel Concordia, Venice – Hotel Review
The History
Hotel Concordia has been family-run for four generations, and you can really feel the love and care that’s gone into every detail. The decor is like stepping into a piece of Venice’s history: silk-covered walls, restored furniture, and those gorgeous Murano glass chandeliers. It’s old-school Venetian charm but with all the modern comforts you could need.
The Location
Honestly, the location couldn’t be better. You’re right in the heart of Venice, with iconic landmarks like St. Mark’s Basilica and the Rialto Bridge just a short stroll away. Despite being in such a lively area, the hotel itself feels calm and peaceful, a perfect escape after a day exploring the winding streets and canals. Plus, getting around is a breeze with vaporettos and gondolas nearby.
Checking-In
From the second we walked in, the staff at Hotel Concordia made us feel so welcome. Check-in was quick and easy, and they gave us loads of information about the city and the hotel’s history. When we arrived in the room, a welcoming letter awaited us. It was such a nice personal touch!
The Rooms
The rooms here are just beautiful. Each one is unique, but they all have that classic Venetian vibe. We stayed in a Junior Suite with a view of St. Mark’s Basilica, and waking up to those incredible views was pure magic. How unique is it to be staying in Venice with windows facing the most emblematic square of the city? This was a stay to remember, and one of those “I can’t believe I am living this” moments. The bed was super comfy, the mini-bar was well-stocked, and the marble bathroom felt so luxurious. It’s those little details that really made it feel special.
If you want your stay to be extra special, consider booking a Terrace Suite, where you can have breakfast in the balcony overlooking St. Mark’s Square!
Lounge Bar
As if straight out of a Canaletto painting, the Lounge Bar at Hotel Concordia offers an unrivalled view of St. Mark’s Basilica. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy traditional Venetian snacks and aperitifs in an exclusive setting. The bar has a wide selection of local wines, long drinks, cocktails, and, of course, classics like the refreshing Spritz and delicious Bellini.
Keeping with Venetian tradition, the Lounge Bar hosts a “Happy Aperitif Time,” complete with a selection of snacks to pair with your drinks. And if you’re feeling peckish at any time of day, their snack service is open until 11 PM.
This space also serves as the breakfast area, where you can start your day with a variety of fresh pastries, fruits, and made-to-order coffee, all while soaking in the stunning views and peaceful atmosphere. It’s the kind of place where you can truly relax and take in the essence of Venice.
Staying at Hotel Concordia was such a treat. Between the amazing location, the historic charm, and the incredible service, it was everything we could have hoped for and more. If you’re heading to Venice and want a hotel that’s equal parts cozy and luxurious, this is the place to be.
