In late April 2022 I was in Budapest and I had the most special and amazing experience I could have in this city. I had the opportunity to collaborate with Legenda Cruises on Instagram, who provided me an amazing night on the Danube River.
Legenda Cruises have different types of programs, such as day and night sightseeing cruises. But this time we went for a cruise with a 4-course candlelit dinner and live music.
First, we headed to the embarkation pier, which is on the Pest side of the Danube River, and started the cruise at 7:45 pm.
We were greeted with a welcome glass of champagne and shortly afterwards we ordered dinner.
All the food was delicious and looked incredible. For starters we ordered great scallops with chili and garlic shrimp in white wine sauce. We also opted for a pumpkin cream with pepper.
For main courses we ordered roasted trout with lemongrass sauce and pink peppercorns, served with rice pilaf, and duck breast with rosemary, layered sweet potato, quince and fig.
To finish, desserts were a brownie with coconut foam and salted caramel and panna cotta topped with forest fruits jam.
During dinner we were dazzled by the sunset, the illuminated parliament and all that cozy and magical atmosphere. The cruise ended at 10:30pm and was definitely the highlight of the trip.
